Judo is a Japanese sport focussing on using your opponent’s weight and strength against them. Judo provides a great physical and mental workout while developing and improving your balance, co-ordination and confidence through the implementation of throwing techniques, pins, arm locks, and choking techniques. Judo translated simply means “The gentle way.” This is due to the fact that it relies more on feel than brute strength. This is why a smaller person can defeat a bigger, stronger opponent.
In our classes you will learn the art of Judo in a safe and controlled environment. Our instructors have over 50 years of Judo experience between them so you know you are in good hands.
The Beyond Grappling Club is closely affiliated with the Judo Federation of Australia so you may have the opportunity to be graded under the national governing body which will allow you to start the road from beginner to black belt.
